Why You should Learn to Program

  • 2 minute read

Of all the skills that students need in the 21st century, none of them will be as often in demand by business as programming. Programming is something that is used in several industries and will always be in demand.

There are two ways that students can increase their competitiveness in programming. First, to study computer science and to study practice inside and out. There are many vacancies available for programmers in both private and public workplaces.

Another path a student can take is learning programming as a supplement to his or her education. A business administration specialist who knows how to program is much more attractive to firms than the average student.

In any case, the skill will come in handy in the labor market. The demand for coding is expected to grow in the coming years. In research on current and future job markets for programmers, it is expected that over time the number of jobs for programmers will only increase.

An important aspect of programming is its versatility. Regardless of whether you are developing a web page, creating an economic model, or creating a new application, you need to either write code or hire someone who can do it.

A common misconception about programming is that it is too difficult to learn. Although there are several programming languages, experience shows that the first language is the most difficult to learn. Once you already know one, you will be able to learn the others relatively quickly.

It is difficult to compare programming with similar skills in other time periods. There is already a great demand for programming skills, and it is expected that it will only grow in the coming years.
